Cookie Policy
This Cookie Policy explains what cookies are, which cookies this site uses, why we use them, and how you can control them.
1. What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device by a website when you visit it. They allow the website to remember your actions and preferences over a period of time, so you don't have to re-enter them whenever you come back or browse from one page to another.
Cookies can be session cookies (deleted when you close your browser) or persistent cookies (remain on your device until they expire or you delete them). They can be set either by the website you're visiting (first-party) or by third-party services operating on that website (third-party).
2. How We Use Cookies
Payment Method Builder uses optional cookies only for the categories marked Active in the registry below. Any analytics cookies are gated behind explicit consent.
If you do not consent, non-essential cookies are not set and the core builder remains available.
3. Cookie Register
The tables below list every cookie that may be set on this site, grouped by category.
Strictly Necessary 1 cookie
These cookies are required for the website to function and cannot be disabled. They are usually set only in response to your actions, such as setting privacy preferences. You can configure your browser to block these cookies, but some parts of the site may then not work.
| Cookie Name | Provider | Purpose | Duration | Type | Legal Basis | Status |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
__Host-session | Payment Method Builder | Reserved for future session handling. Not currently set. | Session | First-party | Legitimate interest | Pending |
Analytics & Performance 4 cookies
These cookies allow us to measure visits and traffic sources so we can improve site performance. All information collected is aggregated and therefore anonymous. If you do not allow these cookies, we will not know when you have visited our site.

|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
_ga | Google LLC | Registers a unique identifier to generate statistical data on how the visitor uses the website. | 2 years | Third-party | Consent | Active |
_ga_* | Google LLC | Used by Google Analytics 4 to persist session state across page loads. | 2 years | Third-party | Consent | Active |
_gid | Google LLC | Registers a unique identifier for the current day's session to generate statistical data. | 24 hours | Third-party | Consent | Active |
_gat_gtag_* | Google LLC | Used to throttle the request rate to Google Analytics, limiting data collection on high-traffic sites. | 1 minute | Third-party | Consent | Active |
4. Third-Party Services
Google Analytics
If Google Analytics 4 is marked active in the registry, it is operated by Google LLC (1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA) and is only enabled after consent.
- IP anonymisation is enabled.
- Data sharing with Google is disabled.
- Advertising features are disabled.
- Data retention is configured to the shortest practical window.
You can opt out of Google Analytics across all sites at any time by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on. Google's privacy policy: policies.google.com/privacy.
5. Local Storage (Not Cookies)
The current production build does not use localStorage for builder configuration.
If consent-gated services are enabled in the future, consent preferences may be stored locally in
your browser so your choice can be remembered between visits.
6. Managing and Withdrawing Consent
You have full control over optional cookies:
- Cookie banner: When you first visit the site, a banner allows you to accept or decline optional cookies.
- Change your preferences: Click the "Cookie Settings" link in the site footer at any time to update your choices.
- Browser settings: Most browsers allow you to block or delete cookies. Refer to your browser's help documentation. Blocking cookies does not affect the core builder.
- Browser extensions: Tools such as uBlock Origin or Privacy Badger can block third-party analytics tracking globally.
7. Live Cookie Scanner
The scanner below runs in your browser when this page loads. It reads all cookies currently set by this domain and checks each one against our declared registry. Any cookie found that is not in the registry is flagged — this allows us to catch undeclared cookies and update the policy accordingly.

8. Updates to This Policy
This policy is generated programmatically from our internal cookie registry. When we add or remove cookies (e.g. by integrating a new analytics service), the registry is updated and this page reflects the change immediately upon the next deployment. The "Last updated" date at the top is adjusted with each registry change.
